Burgdorf Castle, a heritage site of national significance, has stood sentinel on the rocks above the Emme river for more than 800 years. After the castle had been exposed to many different situations, it was opened in the spring of 2020 as a unique place for encounters: a «castle for everyone» and open to the public. Second floor without elevator.

In the fishing village of Leissigen, you have a whole range of Swiss landscapes to choose from. From the youth hostel's terrace, enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Thun and Beatenberg, where water has carved out an intricate limestone cave system with stalagmites and stalactites. At the hostel's own pebble beach, you can marvel at the Bernese Alps while paddling in the clear water.

Guest room with a great view at Residence Brunner

The cosy guest room at Residence Brunner has a private bathroom and a balcony with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains. There is a beautiful large garden area in front of the building. The Residence Brunner is located in the upper part of Wengen, about 12 minutes from the village centre. Wengen can only be reached by train.
