On 6 wooded acres in a private mountain river cove outside Damascus, VA , our cozy, renovated 3-story A-frame cottage property fronts the cliff-flanked, trout-stocked South Fork Holston River. The cottage features 3 spacious bedrooms, each on its own level; a fully equipped kitchen; great room; dining room; laundry room; and a 2nd-floor loft accessing the 16'-wide balcony. A 20' x 12' deck offers space for outdoor relaxing and dining and opens to the yard with fire pit.

The Olde Springhouse is our cozy cottage just 1 block off Main str and a few more from the Virginia Creeper Trail-Head. The Trail is open 17 from Abingdon to Damascus! This gem is at the epicenter of shops, restaurants and nightlife! Enjoy all our town offers within walking distance- The Barter Theatre, The Creeper Trail, The Tavern, Jack's 128 Pecan, Foresta, Summers Rooftop/Cellar, Rain, The Girl & The Raven, SweetBay Brewery, and much, much more- and it was literally built over a spring!

The house is over a 100 years old, but the interior remodel has all the modern conveniences you need to make yourself at home while you enjoy all Bristol has to offer! All the privacy you could want, a large yard, and a fire pit add to the enjoyment of your stay.

The house is steps away from exciting outdoor hiking/biking, streams, nature watching, fly fishing, and great local retailers and eateries.

Watauga River Cottage in Johnson City, TN

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly water front river cottage (Approximately 1,700sf)! Bring your fishing pole and relax! We have Kayaks and life jackets available upon request at no charge (life jackets required!). Enjoy some time on the hammocks by the river or step into the hot tub on the deck over looking the river. Please note we do have a video camera overlooking the driveway as well as overlooking the stairway and river bank below the river cottage.

Resting on an acre of land and right off I 81 enjoy your stay in our cozy, country cottage.

The Cottage at Historic Sutherland Manor est. 1807

Helene update: the farm is undamaged and roads leading to it are passable. This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.

(We listened to our guests and now have a new bed and mattress !!!) Enjoy a stylish experience at this quaint little cottage located in the heart of historic downtown Abingdon. Just a scenic stroll away from Valley Street and Main Street where you can find local shops, boutiques, restaurants, performing arts, and more. The cottage also features an outdoor patio with fire-pit perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

3 bedroom mountain retreat!

Our little peaceful home is located in the Kettlefoot black bear reserve. Bears can sometimes be seen crossing the road or strolling thru the fields Damascus and Mountain City are only minutes away! Our place offers a big yard to enjoy along with a fire pit with firewood furnished. Cornhole and board games are also available. A nice sitting area on the covered back porch to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
