Footbridge Farm Cabin

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Riverfront Porch & Boat Slip

Wake up to the morning sun shining over the great Mississippi River. Relax and grill with the whole family on the spacious covered front porch. Walk to the dock to fish or jump on your boat for some fun in the sun - boat slip included! (~9+ ft wide) Spend the evening hours laughing next to a crackling campfire. Welcome to the mighty Mississippi River, the famous Driftless Area and Great River Cabin. This brand new 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin is fully equipped for a relaxing getaway including 2 private bedrooms, bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and vanity, kitchenette with stove, full size fridge, microwave and peninsula for dining. There is a TV and futon for extra sleeping space. The jewel of the property is the deck running the full length of the cabin with expansive views of the Mighty Mississippi.

When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. While here, you'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow, watch barn kitties play, while gazing across the vast farm vistas.
