This authentic log cabin, built in the 20's, remodeled in the 50's, has all the fun of a cabin with all the comforts of a modern home. With original 50's decor and furniture, except for the new beds, mattresses and bedding, you'll feel you've stepped back in time! Build puzzles by the fire, watch the snow fall from bed, and enjoy the peace and wildlife of the Rocky Mountains! I am about an hour away but can come to the cabin if I'm needed. Nestled among pines, the cabin is set at the base of Mount Meeker. It's a 5-minute drive from Rocky Mountain National Park. A short walk away is a seasonal lodge that’s open from May to September which offers horseback riding and a convenience store. The sofa bed in the living room is a full, the sofa bed in the den is a queen.

The living room is warm and bright with vaulted ceilings and a small dining area and cozy fireplace. Stargaze in the hot tub and enjoy the outdoor picnic area. Well behaved pets welcome!

Located 15 minutes from Estes Park Downtown, the cabin is nestled in the archway to the Rocky Mountains. During your stay, enjoy a view of Mount Meeker and partial view of Longs Peak, as well as the relaxing sound of a creek. You will be minutes away from trailheads to waterfalls, bike trails around Lake Estes, and casual shopping and dining in Estes Park. Conveniently, the cabin is located off of Hwy 7, for easy access from the Denver-Boulder area. 4WD/AWD recommended in winter/spring.

What we lost from the seclusion of trees, we gained in 360 degree views of Kawuneeche Valley & Rocky Mountain National Park. Nature has rebounded quickly & you will see abundant wildlife grazing the meadow, with moose and elk visiting daily. You can snowmobile/ATV from cabin to trails in less than 10 min. 4WD/AWD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in Winter.
