One of two shepherd's huts located on our traditional working hill farm in the stunning Wasdale valley. The huts have everything you need to enjoy your stay in this beautiful part of the world. Wastwater shepherd's hut comes complete with a double bed, kitchen area with induction hob and a bathroom with shower. Perfect place to start numerous walks from the doorstep including many of the popular Wainwright hills such as Scafell Pike and Illgill Head. Easy access to the lake for kayaking etc.

Additional capacity via futon sofa, and large garage converted to equipment room.

There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

Delightful one bedroom studio apartment, maintained by the owner, is the ground floor of a stone-built terraced cottage. Within easy walking distance of all Keswick's amenities & is an ideal base from which to explore this superb part of the Lake District on foot, bicycle or by car. Comfortably furnished & spacious, it has a French door leading to the patio & shared garden. It is well equipped; includes wifi, smart TV, washing machine, maps & guides, central heating plus radiant heater.

All other amenities (supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants, museums etc) can be found in Cockermouth, a 4 mile drive away.

The Vale of Lorton is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of the Lakes, ranging from the flat farmland and Gem town of Cockermouth at one end to the rugged mountains and Buttermere at the other. The tranquil setting of The Spinney, above the River Cocker, with spectacular views over to Whinlatter, is an ideal location to explore the north western Lakes. Set in two acres of mature trees, gardens and river frontage, with lots of wildlife.

The Hayloft - a cottage on our Lake District farm

Completed in July 2020, The Hayloft is one of 3 cottages in our old stone barn near Ullswater lake in the Lake District. Bedroom one has a double bed and en suite shower, toilet and basin. Bedroom 2 can be made up as a double bed or two single beds. We can provide an extra small bed in here for a young child up to about age 7.
