We have recently had several small independent eateries open serving excellent food and drink. Which I can highly recommend.

This delightful little apartment is perfect for a couple visiting the beautiful town of Berwick Upon Tweed for a weekend getaway. It is centrally situated in the town just off the main high street, walking distance to shops, pubs the theatre and eateries. The apartment is on the first floor so there are steps to access, there is a lovely bathroom with shower, double bedroom, quaint and well furnished living area and kitchen equipped with all the cooking essentials. This is our two bedroom cosy apartment situated just a stone’s throw from Alnwick market place. In fact it is above a cheese shop and close to a bakery. A perfect start to the day. You can also walk to the many other shops, cafes and restaurants. In Alnwick is the wonderful Barter Books where you can browse at your leisure and make good use of the cafe on site. Only a very short drive is the coast. Miles of beautiful beaches overlooked by impressive castles. What could be better?

A hidden gem within the centre of Alnwick for self-sustaining modern guests. Everything you need is just a short walk away including the world renowned Alnwick Castle & Gardens. Our flat has two good sized bedrooms one with a Kingsize bed with fresh Egyptian cotton bedding and there are an additional two comfortable sofa beds. Bedroom one has an ensuite with shower and there is also a main bathroom with a bathtub. A lovely light and spacious flat including a lounge-kitchen room.

The Lookout is a beautiful, spacious and well-appointed 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom first floor flat with a mini balcony, boasting uninterrupted, majestic views. Direct access to the coastal path and overlooking Seahouses Harbour and the Farne Islands, with Bamburgh Castle and even Holy Island visible in the distance. A perfect place from which to explore this dramatic and stunning coast. I'm afraid we are unable to accept pets. Dedicated parking is available for 1 car.

EllinghamCottages welcomes you to The Signalbox, our gorgeous little studio. It's in the village of Ellingham, has a log burner, south facing balcony and a private enclosed garden. It's fully equipped for self-catering and is within a minute's walk of a great pub if you don't fancy cooking. Its name is our little touch of whimsy because we immediately thought of a signal box when we first saw it with its exterior wooden panelling.
