Take a verandah seat to watch the morning mist quietly rise. Observe the abundant wildlife who are happy to call Oro home, or be intoxicated by the afternoon ‘golden hour’. Oro, a place of provision, unfolding beauty, rest and refreshment.

Located on 10 acres, The Barn is an outbuilding to the family home, along with our farm stay, The Stables. Within 10 minutes to the tourist town of Bright, and in close proximity to skiing and snow boarding at Falls Creek and Mt Hotham, a short 45 minute drive away. Horse stays are also an option, with trail riding close by!

This unique and tranquil experience, Your very own mud brick miners cottage on a lavender farm that has fantastic views. 5km to Bright. Also near by is the Rail trail, Golf course and walking tracks, Mount Buffalo and its historic chalet. With an adequate equipped kitchen and a BBQ on your own veranda.Great sunsets, starry nights, wood fire and a nearby mountain stream also on the property. The lavender is in flower from around mid Dec before getting harvested in Feb to make essential oil.

The Mine Managers Suite at Avalon House has some of the original timber wall panelling dating back to 1889 giving it old word charm whilst upgraded modern amenities make it a warm and comfortable private apartment for two. This was the residence of Thomas Davey who managed the Harrietville Gold Company till the great depression in the 20’s. With a private pet friendly courtyard, it is in the centre of town walking distance to Cafes, Parks, Rivers, Pubs and all Harrietville has to offer.

Breathe easy the moment you walk into the courtyard of The Tin Pod. This light, Bright, modernly appointed space, located right on the edge of beautiful bush land to explore will instantly transport you to a more relaxed state of being. A perfect couples retreat to rejuvenate the body and mind. Alternatively if you seek a more active getaway there are walks to be done, cafes to visit, mountain bike trails to explore, snowfields to conquer.....all on the doorstep of “The Tin Pod”.

Tucked in behind the little boutique clothing shop called Chooks, there are cafes and restaurants literally on your doorstep! Explore the many walking tracks along the Ovens River, catch a movie at the little cinema just around the corner, or jump on your bike and ride one of the cycling tracks that surround the town. Enjoy the best of what Bright has to offer without having to get in your car!

Green Gables is a peaceful cottage situated in lush gardens on the banks of the Ovens River in Bright. The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is right on our doorstep and we are also directly behind the Bright golf course- so pack your clubs! From Green Gables, it is an easy walk, ride or drive into the township of Bright with its boutique shops and eateries, regular festivals and of course beautiful European style landscape all nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps.

Bushies Love Shack

Welcome to Bushies Love Shack. The naming of the love shack came about upon purchasing the property some 8 years ago. Fay's father, at the time 90 years of age, and his girlfriend, 91 years of age, automatically named it the Love Shack as they envisaged, once renovated, them sitting in bed, playing cards and taking in the view and so the name stuck. In keeping with the name, we have created a luxurious, romantic space for two.
