Local attractions: JCB,Uttoxeter Races, Peak District, Trentham gardens, Monkey World, Potteries, Waterworld & Stoke Ski slope. Within walking distance are Pubs, cafes, shops and country rambles. The annexe is a combined lounge bedroom, kitchen/dining area,en-suite, double bed and large sofa bed.

Surrounded by green countryside and picturesque walks, our cottage is in nice quiet part of the village and is the perfect rural escape. A short stroll away from the village shops and pubs and a 10 minute drive from the local ice rink, cinema and polar bear experience. This romantic retreat is set in the heart of the picturesque village of Butterton which overlooks the beautiful Manifold Valley in the Peak District. The lanes are lined with pretty sandstone cottages and an idyllic ford runs through the cobbled street below the cottage and a great country pub is round the corner. The Shepherds Hut is nestled in our walled garden. It has all you need for a relaxing break including lovely views, wood burning stove, bathroom, mini kitchen and a comfy bed area. The clever design allows both a dining table with chairs or comfy seating to relax by the wood burner. Our biofuel hot tub can be hired for your stay. Meet our animals whilst wandering our fields or walk from the property in to Dimmingsdale & Alton village. We’re a 5 minute drive to Alton Towers.
