This little rustic OFF GRID converted sugar shack is perfect for a quiet getaway. There are 2 solar panels that feed the lighting and water pump; limited, non-drinking water for the 2 sinks (summer only); and compostable toilet. There is no shower, no oven and no fridge. A cooler, an urn of drinking water and firewood are provided. The shack is on our 35 acre property, with our home 500ft down the lane. You will have access to our property to walk through the maple forest and wildflower meadow.

Small two piece bathroom and small shower (similar in size to what you would find in a camping trailer) as well, all within the unit. Couch in living room also pulls out for an extra sleeping space. Self check in with keyless entry. No cleaning fee!

No pets & no smoking please. Located on the second floors accessed by a long staircase. Cooling system present but centralized.

Private Studio, with no direct interaction with the hosts. About 15 minutes from Gatineau and 20 minutes from Ottawa by car. For an additional fee (and subject to availability), you can access the spa, sauna, and cold plunge pool. A lunchbox breakfast is included. Perfect for workers or tourists. We have 2 dogs and a cat (they do not have access to the studio). The studio is independent, yet attached to the house, and we ask visitors to maintain an appropriate noise level during their stay.

This rustic cottage has all your basic needs to enjoy a comfortable stay. Guests comment on beautiful sunsets and sun rises if they are early birds. Try Kayaking, canoeing. Kids love the freedom of exploring in the pedal boats. We have had nice catches right off the dock cat fish, small mouth bass and kids squeal when they catch sun fish and baby perch .

We are just 30 minutes from world class downhill skiing and whitewater rafting.
