Looking to escape the fast-paced life of the city? This 1920's updated farmhouse off the Blue Ridge Parkway is the perfect solution. This 10+ acre park features ponds, a creek, & a disc golf course. Return to the simple life by relaxing in the hot tub, or by lounging next to the rushing stream! In 2019, we expanded our vision & have built a timber frame barn (over 300 ft from the house), featuring a site (Wonderlust Acres) for weddings & events. Separated from our house by a large breezeway, with private entrance and no shared spaces. 25 mins to App Ski Mnt, 40 to Sugar, 60 to Beech.

The Cottage at Historic Sutherland Manor est. 1807

Helene update: the farm is undamaged and roads leading to it are passable. This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.

Mike's Mountain House

The house is gated and overlooks the mountains and the New River. Have a drink in the hot tub or around the fire pit and watch the sunsets. Early morning you may catch some Deer or even a Bobcat walking down the road! Must be at least 21 years old to rent this home. 15 Min to downtown West Jefferson and 10 min to Blue Ridge Parkway then another 10 min to waterfall! Also 15 min drive to Mt. Jefferson with some great views and hiking.
