Enjoy the sweet sounds of the farm surrounded by horses, highlander cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks and a mini donkey as you sit on the beautiful southern front porch. We are easily accessible to the North Carolina Zoo (only 6.8 miles) and Zoo City Sportsplex (only 3 miles) We are 2.5 miles away from the 220/73 bypass, grocery stores, restaurants and all shopping necessities. We are located in the heart of NC in beautiful Asheboro.

Pet Friendly Countryside Cottage Near NC Zoo

Located near the NC Zoo and situated on the edge of the Uwharrie National Forest, this cozy family cottage offers accommodations for up to 7. You'll be within minutes from local attractions such as Low Water Bridge, Badin Lake OHV Trail Complex and Seagrove Pottery. Golf, lakes, and other outdoor attractions make for awesome local day trips. The large yard and parking area affords adequate space to bring and maneuver your off-road toys, trailers, boats etc... The fenced yard welcomes Fido!

The lake and surrounding forest are home to a wide variety of wildlife, experience for yourself the secret they have found. Truly unwind in this 2 bed 1 bath right on the water's edge. The Lincoln Log cabin is rustic, but made to be comfortable. You'll be surprised at the remoteness and beauty and yet, near Asheboro, Seagrove, Uwharrie National Forest, NC Zoo, Pisgah Covered Br.

Toad Hill Cabin- fenced yard, large deck, sleeps 8

Relax with the whole family, pups included, at this peaceful home in the woods. You will be 15 minutes from the NC Zoo, 10 minutes from Asheboro, with easy access to Uwharrie National Forest. You will have 4 bedrooms with 2 full baths, a full kitchen, laundry area & fenced in backyard. Included is plenty of parking and a covered car port. No smoking is permitted on the property. $500 fee applies. Willing to have a lower rate for guests only using the downstairs portion of the cabin!

Shepard Farm
