선물같은 하루 (숲에서 맞이하는, 민주지산)

‘선물같은 하루＇는 충북 영동군 민주지산의 도마령 기슭(해발 700m) 숲 속에 위치한 체험형 숙소입니다. 노부모님을 위해 지은 목조주택(달밭집, 2005년)과 가족들이 직접 지은 흙집(소영당, 2006년)을 리모델링(2020년)하여 집 전체를 오롯이 한 팀의 손님들만 머물다 가시도록 준비했습니다. 최근에는 울숲의 신갈나무 6~7미터 위에 트리하우스(울숲집, 2024년)를 짓고 이 또한 무료로 체험할 수 있게 했습니다. 체험은 전통문화체험과 생태체험을 유료 및 무료 체험으로 나누어 다양하게 제공하고 있습니다. 흙집은 우리네 선조들의 산골 너와집처럼 달밭 주변에서 얻은 나무와 흙과 돌로 지었습니다. 아궁이에 불을 지피는 체험을 할 수 있고 코는 시원하고 등은 따뜻한 전통가옥의 지혜를 느껴보실 수 있습니다. 흙집 방문 상인방에는 '선물같은 하루'라는 글귀가 새겨져 있습니다. 이곳을 찾는 모든 분들께 '선물같은 하루'라는 소박한 선물을 드리도록 노력하겠습니다.

서나와 할아버지 통나무집_햇님에 오신걸 환영합니다. 햇님의 주제는 두가지에요. 첫째는 "공작산 바라기"랍니다. 한국 백대 명산의 하나라는 공작산과 그 위의 하늘을 방안에서 마주 보고 싶어서 벽을 사선으로 깍아 만들었어요. 둘째는 "숨, 쉼"이에요. 머무시는 분들의 몸과 마음이 편안히 숨, 쉼 하실 수 있길 바라는 마음으로 방안을 아무런 칠을 안하고 편백나무로 마감했어요. 또 막지 않을 수 있는 곳은 최대한 막지 않아서 최대한 넓은 느낌, 어디든 다 통하는 느낌을 자아내고자 했어요. 햇님은 이런 주제로 씽크대 하부장과 탁자 세트를 빼고는 모두 서나 아빠가 직접 만든 집이랍니다. 햇님의 자랑인 전망창이나 데크에 편안히 자리잡으시면 공작산과 그 위 하늘에서 펼쳐지는 구름과 바람의 춤을 즐기실 수 있을 거에요. 새들과 풀벌레가 조잘 거리는 소리와 가만히 귀 기울이면 들리는 길 건너 냇물 소리도 맘을 편하게 해드릴 거구요.

⸻ 림은 전통적인 한옥에 아름다움을 섬세하게 담아낸 공간입니다. 창문을 통해 들어오는 부드러운 빛과 그로 인해 더욱 돋보이는 고재의 질감은 마치 고즈넉한 한옥의 마루와 닮아 있습니다. 이곳에서, 제가 오랜 시간 동안 수집해온 소중한 물품들을 여러분과 나누고자 합니다. 각기 다른 전통과 이야기를 품은 그 소품들은 이 공간에 특별한 의미를 더할 것입니다. 체코에서 가져온 오래된 등대 계단은 그 고유의 아름다움을 그대로 담고 있으며, 그 계단을 오르며 우리는 과거와 현재를 동시에 여행하는 듯한 느낌을 받습니다. 또한 한옥 특유의 나무기둥,툇마루와 어우러지는 지극히 한국적인 조경의 어우러짐은 시간이 흐르며 더욱 깊이 있는 이야기를 품고 있습니다. 한옥의 전통적인 아름다움과 한국 고유의 미학이 만나, 새로운 차원의 깊이를 완성한 이 곳에서 저의 이야기를 함께 나누어 보세요.
