Enjoy the beauty of Athens County just a short drive from Ohio University via a single county road. Water's Edge, an exceptionally clean 2nd story apartment, ideal for 1 person or couple, overlooks a 3-acre pond on 5 acres in a safe rural subdivision. With every amenity you need, including fast wi-fi, it’s a perfect accommodation when visiting OU, attending music festivals, hiking the hills, or looking for an inspirational writer’s/artist’s retreat. Full apartment above garage

This is a convenient and comfortable, above garage apartment, within a mile or so from uptown Athens, just off of Richland Ave. Equipped with everything you might need, including wifi, full kitchen and bath, central heat, and A/C. and then some. Many updates have occurred since original listing, paired w lots of little changes, as a result of positive feedback. Please bare with me as it's a continual art in progress. Various condiments, coffee, cream, etc to be shared. Thanks for looking.

Blissful 1-Bedroom- Walking Distance to Campus

Away from the hustle and bustle of OU Campus, just a short walk (1/2 mile) to the College Green and Court Street entertainment venues. Park in the attached garage. For a limited time, Athens Krishna House - a Bhakti-Yoga and Meditation Center, is available for your tranquil getaway. No TV. For the sanctity of this unique space, No Smoking, No Meat, No Fish, No Eggs, No Alcohol, No Party in the house. We are sorry we cannot allow pets inside. Shoes need to be left in the foyer. Country Getaway

Short drive on the highway from Athens, OH (15 minutes) and Parkersburg, WV(35 minutes). Detached studio apartment located on 25 acres with access to almost 300 acres for walking and fishing(catch and release). Studio apartment has a full kitchen and bathroom, two bed nooks, a chair, and table with four barstools. The space is heated using radiant floor during cool weather and during warm weather cooled by a window unit AC. Owners live about 30ft from rental on the property.

PaPa Cabin

“Fall“ at PaPa Cabin be prepared for a different experience. This little house, perched on a cliff, is off the grid, surrounded by forest. A quarter mile walk through the woods leads to the cabin. Bedroom sleeps two on the comfy bed. With only 12 volt (like your car) solar electricity, gas heat, some 12v fans (no AC) it will be an adventure! In the kitchenette, guests will find a propane range top, a fridge, and cooking utensils, bottled water, outside a charcoal grill.

Take it easy at this unique and pet friendly place. The Tired Beagle is a repurposed Dog Grooming business. There is a Queen bed and Futon Bed. The dog wash is available for pets. Located on a working farm in the country, yet a couple miles from Ohio University, you havel 40 acres for nature walks, easy access to town and unique wineries. The Tired Beagle has ample parking and located next to road for quick access.

The Caboose at Dutch Creek Retreat

Stay in the Original Athens County Vintage C&O Caboose in the heart of the Southeastern Ohio countryside. Interior has been fully renovated complete with kitchenette and small bathroom with shower. Just 11 miles from Athens & Ohio University and a 1/2 mile from Dutch Creek Winery. Perfect to unplug and unwind for a weekend getaway or honeymoon stay.

Secluded Woodland Getaway Near Athens

Farm life meets woodland paradise in this cabin set among the trees near our homestead. Hiking trails, a small 3 season creek, abundant wildlife, as well as farm animals. It's the best of both worlds! You will experience true darkness, bright stars and the simplicity of being out in the country and unplugged.

Acadia Cliffs Treehouse Cabin

This 560 sq. foot treehouse cabin is situated on 20 acres surrounded by the Acadia Cliff Wildlife Preserve. While here, hike to the Millstone Quarry for a bit of Ohio history and visit the OU campus and surrounding city of Athens. Be sure to stop by the Athens Farmer's Market on Wednesday's and Saturdays!
