Haere Mai! Looking for a slice of paradise, a tranquil haven where you can relax and revitalise? This 100yr old cottage is named for the Kōtare (kingfishers) that live here. All are welcome. Surrounded by ancient trees, water and bird life, the cottage is an eclectic mix of vintage and modern finds. If you’re after a hotel experience, this may not be the place for you! Looking out over the semi-private beach you’ll feel miles from the city, yet downtown is a 10min drive away! Nau mai!

It has comfortable furnishings, a fully-equipped kitchen, underfloor bathroom heating, under sheet electric blankets and a spacious grassy outdoor area with a path that leads down to the water's edge. It is close to bus and train, local cafes, a shopping centre and a walking track that surrounds the Orakei Basin.

Small Studio Apartment (approx 40 sqmtrs)

1km from Mairangi Bay (10 mins walk/2-3 mins drive).The guest area is below the main house & has its own entrance. The studio with HRV ventilation, heatpump and double glazing is ideal for solo travellers, couples with or without one small child. Please note that our downstairs studio has a low ceiling (1.98m high) and we don’t have a full kitchen. Breakfast: Tea/Coffee (Nespresso Machine)/Cereal and milk included. Bed configuration: 1 double bed 1 king single bed

Red Rock Cottage, beachfront luxury ♥

Off the beaten track, a gorgeous 2-bedroom cottage sitting at the edge of the ocean. Kayak, paddleboard, fish, or lie in the sun and re-charge your soul. Clarks beach is a tiny village 40-mins from Auckland city. We have all the essentials here; grab fish and chips, play a round of golf, or eat at the local restaurants (Thai or Chinwags / bistro). Island Bay Retreat

Enjoy beautiful views and a serene garden setting with a fruit orchard. Nestled near the top of Island Bay Road, the property offers easy access to buses, local shop and takeaway. Just a short walk downhill takes you to a beach, fishing wharf, and playground. Opposite the house is a natural bush reserve, where native birds fill the air with song year-round. A paddleboard and fresh eggs, fruit, and herbs from the garden are available during your stay!

New architecturally designed eco-friendly tiny house located near the beach and cafes. Double glazed cedar french doors provide a seamless flow from the kitchen and living area to a private deck for alfresco dining. Guests can relax on an outdoor sofa while enjoying a meal on the deck. Set in a garden setting, the house is self-contained with an eco composting toilet, unlimited WiFi, full shower & fridge/freezer and kitchen. Maximum of 2 guests.

Our waterfront accommodation is a great place to relax and unwind conveniently located overlooking the picturesque Putiki Bay. Sit on the deck and watch the sunset across the bay. The bay is a tidal and is a great spot for kayaking, paddle-boarding and swimming at high tide. With private waterfront views, the cottage is in with in easy reach of the islands beaches and local amenities, with the Ostend market and supermarket only 10 min walk.
