Visit this beautiful shepherd’s hut, 10 minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Eye. In late summer and you’ll catch the harvest in full flow – but whenever you stay, the sounds of foxes, deer, owls and other birds going about their business are all that will surround you. you can relax by the fire pit (bring your own logs), or cook using the outside kitchen.

There are lovely walks and cycle rides to surrounding villages and historic market towns like Colchester, Hadleigh, Kersey Lavenham and Woodbridge. The coast (Southwold, Walberswick, Aldeburgh, Frinton, Felixstowe, Clacton, and Lowestoft) are all a comfortable 30 - 45 minutes drive.

This rustic self contained apartment situated above a Cart Lodge. Accessed by steps (they are quite steep so probably not suitable for someone infirm), it is one large room with a king size bed, a lovely wood burning stove (wood provided), a well equipped kitchen area with dining table and chairs, a sofa and large TV/dvd/radio/cd. There is a small shower room at the end. There are a selection of DVDs and magazines for your use. There is no WiFi.
