Greet the day in an updated tiled bathroom that has everything from a twin vanity to combined rain shower and tub. Please respect quiet hours after 9 pm. The home, in classic New Orleans style, is split into two separate dwellings, with a shared backyard. I live on the other side of the duplex with my sweet miniature goldendoodle, Willie Nelson. I'm more then happy to interact or give you privacy. Ride shares and taxis are recommended everywhere in New Orleans at night, and the fare from Maison Laharpe to the Quarter is under $10, 5-7 minutes. Bus routes are nearby, as are Blue Bike rentals. You can also take an inexpensive Uber or Lyft a mile north to City Park or a mile south to the French Quarter/Bywater or Downtown CBD/Warehouse District. Local city rental bikes are also available along Esplanade and are a great way to see the city. No smoking, parties, or pets. Unit has black out curtains so you can sleep in late, USB chargers next to each side of the bed, great AC/heater and private courtyard. Neighborhood is walkable - two miles from the French Quarter and one mile from City Park. Across the street from the Fairgrounds Race Course (Jazz Fest), corner market, Catty Shack (best tacos in NOLA), Jockey’s Pub (great neighborhood bar), and Toast Fairgrounds (amazing breakfast spot). ½ mile walk or ride to Liuzza's by the track, Swirl wine shop, Fair grinds coffee shop, Café Degas, Lola, Santa Fe Restaurant (best margaritas in town), Terranova Market and Conseco’s Market. You will have access to your private courtyard and the entire suite. We will be available for most guest check-ins and welcome you to hang with us on our porch under the large oak tree with a cool beverage. There are so many wonderful places in this city and we enjoy making recommendations based on your interests. The suite is situated across the street from the Fairgrounds Race Course, where Jazz Fest is held, the corner market, and Catty Shack, which has the best tacos in NOLA. The neighborhood is close to the French Quarter and City Park. Free street parking. There are always spaces available except during Jazz Fest. During this time, you can park in our driveway.
