A boulder-studded wall rises up towards a stone walkway, which is fitted with an integrated fire pit. The outdoor hot tub & seasonal outdoor shower are located next to the cottage deck.

Welcome to “Point Beithe” (birch point in Gaelic). This beautiful home sits on its own point surrounded by 180° of Mira River waterfront age. You will also enjoy access to your own small private island that is connected by a shallow sand bar. Sit out on the large deck or floating dock to enjoy the views of the river, launch kayaks, paddle boards, and swim. We have signed up for the strongest internet service offered in the area (Starlink). Cellular reception is not great in the area.

MacLeod Cove: secluded cottage with private shore

MacLeod Cove is a 4-bedroom cottage on the Bras d'Or, Cape Breton's beautiful inland sea. Enjoy ocean views and private cove, within 25 minutes drive of Baddeck, North Sydney (Newfoundland ferry terminal), and the Cabot Trail. Smoking and fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property. The cottage is very private, surrounded by forest and sea. We upgraded our wifi to high speed fiber in 2026. The Sleeping Moose Cottage is a private, cosy, 600 square feet, well laid out vacation rental for up to 5 people. It is very nicely renovated and completely equipped for you to enjoy a weekend gateway or a longer vacation. Open year round with full electrical heat and a wood stove to heat up the cooler evenings and winter stay's The Sleeping Moose Cottage is located on the same property as the Dancing Moose Cafe (very good Breakfast and lunch) and the Zzzz Moose Camping Cabins.

Welcome to our 9 acre private lot sitting up on a hill over looking the beautiful Mira River. Enjoy the open concept cottage with spacious bedrooms and large kitchen. A short walk down the hill takes you to your own private beach on the Mira River to swim in the day and enjoy a bon fire at night. The spacious deck has a large hot tub and chairs to enjoy the views. The property also has its own 1km hiking trail that circles the property.
