Bündner Zuckerbäckerpalazzo unter Denkmalschutz
Dive into the historical fascination of the Palazzo Glaser/Kunz, a late-Baroque heritage-listed palazzo that once formed the center of confectionery arts in Europe. Lovingly restored under the aegis of the artist couple Glaser/Kunz between 2017 and 2019, this palazzo offers its visitors the chance to experience the genuine ambiance of the 18th century in all its facets. It is situated in the heart of Borgo Poschiavo, surrounded by inns, shops, and an indoor swimming pool, making it the ideal starting point for exploratory tours.
Inside, the palazzo features an authentic library complete with a tiled stove, a south-facing balcony room, and a parlor, also with a tiled stove, waiting for its guests. The kitchen is divided into traditional and modern sections with a wood stove as well as an electric stove, two dining tables, refrigerators, and a professional coffee machine. The accommodations are rounded off with a guest room with a double bed, additional sleeping areas on the 2nd floor including a children's room, and several lounges, all designed to make the stay as comfortable as possible.
The palazzo's exterior is no less impressive: A traditional vegetable and fruit garden with seating areas and a backyard with a barbecue spot offer plenty of space for outdoor relaxation. Parking options are readily available in the immediate vicinity. The picturesque setting of the Poschiavo Valley in the southern Engadine, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Rhaetian Railway, along with nearby mountain lakes like Lago di Saoseo, make the palazzo a perfect place for nature and culture enthusiasts. A variety of sports and excursion possibilities in the region complete the offer for up to 6 people.
