The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dog accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

Plenty of space for the families with pingpong table & foosball & bball hoop. We ARE NOT suitable for children <5 due to the spiral staircase/deck. NO pets. Alpine Haven is a luxurious 3,000+ sq ft chalet perched atop a mountain just minutes from Downtown Black Mountain (<20min from AVL). A game room, cozy gas fireplace inside and gas firepit on the deck, and elegant mountain décor create the perfect retreat for families and groups. *Please Note*: A separate guest house is next door, but privacy has been carefully ensured for a peaceful stay.

The Snookmore is perfectly located just 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8 miles from downtown Asheville. Just hop on the Parkway and have the Appalachian wilderness at your beck and call or mosey on down to the hottest town the South has to offer. Its only neighbors are ourselves and our other rental house, the Snookery. Note on Helene: we were very luck in Snookville with a lot of downed trees, but nothing structural. There are still outages, but the generators keep the power on.

With 1600 sq. ft. inside the home, a spacious outdoor lounging space, and a walking trail down to the waterfall beside the house, there is plenty of space to rest and recharge. There are awesome eateries and breweries only a few miles away and Pisgah National Forest is just around the corner.
