Forest Cabin
Cute cabin in the gorgeous Dandenong Ranges, perfect area to relax and rewind.
Located within 500m distance from the Ferntree Gully train station, and a short walk to local shops on Burwood Highway.
The space is a small, private cabin including a queen bedroom and attached ensuite. There is a living area upon entry, as well as a kitchen and dining area.
The space is private & includes your own small deck. It has a comfortable double bed. There is a small fridge, microwave and a hand sink in the bathroom. There is a cupboard to hang clothes, a spare blanket/hairdryer in the cupboard too. There is a small table inside/& 2 chairs. As there isn't a large sink pl feel free to drop any dishes to be washed at my back door on the table (daily as you need). Please place them on the tray provided.
If you wish to sit outside there are two chairs (& a small table under the TV) so you can enjoy nature and enjoy a drink/nibbles. You may see some parrots/rosellas/kookaburras.
Coffee and tea is avail & a coffee plunger, kettle & toaster. I will leave some cereal and milk. Plates/ bowls/cutlery & wine glasses.
Internet. We tend to turn it off around 9.45pm ish at night as the modem is near the bedroom ~ please, if you wish it on longer, do let us know.
Its a great location if attending a wedding and you'd like to make a weekend of it ~ OR if you just need some time to recharge your batteries... its a serene and pretty spot. The train station is very close / for those who don’t have a car... also factoring in a little noise / which hasn't been a problem for us nor 95% of our guests.
You can enjoy what the Hills has to offer. A short drive to Sky High, Cloudhill, Burnham Beeches, Kallista Teahouse and various Reception Centres, and many other Mount Dandenong attractions including stunning walks and markets.
(You could even enjoy a glass of wine from the Yarra Valley) which is an approximate 30 minute drive away. Warburton & Healsville are other favourites (approx 45 mins)
Woolworths is in walking distance as is the movie theatre in Belgrave
We have a friendly and gorgeous Labradore who is mostly inside, please don’t feed him. It’s essential that the gate be properly closed at all times. Thank you.
