It is a great place to enjoy a romantic weekend, or a vacation with the kids and your pets for outdoor adventures which include hiking or biking the many trails and ravines, or capturing images of birds and other wildlife with your camera. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen for gourmet cooking and dining on the front porch.

The Haven is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature or have a good time with friends. Our 5 bedroom home sits on 45 acres of woodland with a 12 foot inground salt water pool. Unwind on the deck. Hike the trails into the forest and down to the creek. Play pool, air hockey, or ping pong in our balcony game room. Hang out in the pool or in the great room which has 3 couches, 2 recliners, and lots of space to spread out. And leave feeling refreshed and ready to get back to life.

Here you can leave the cyber world, nagging phones and main stream media's daily dose of toxins behind. If secluded, peaceful and restful is your destination then come grab a chair on the back porch, pour a beverage and indulge yourself with enjoying the simple laid back life.

Thunder Ridge —Entire House pet-friendly near NOLA

Thunder Ridge at the Forest Retreat is an adults-only pet-friendly getaway. Children may come only during specific holidays. Your house will be unlocked. Check-in is a 3 p.m. Here you are surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest. Take a picnic to the sand-bars along the pristine spring-fed creek. Hike or mountain bike on the remote forest roads. Incredible river views and a peaceful environment provides relaxation in this secluded cozy rustic cabin. Unwind and enjoy the cool breeze on the lower level, lounging in the seating area while enjoying a good book in the quiet surroundings. A country road drive leads to a private beach, a few minutes away, that welcomes a fun day of kayaking, tubing, picnicking, shell hunting, cooling off in the cool water or just relaxing and listening to the rippling water.

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. Large, completely renovated cabin in the Homochitto National Forest. On site amenities include huge 2,000 sq ft deck, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, separate fire pit, pool, hot tub, playground, and ~120 acres with miles of trails. Nearby things to do include horseback riding, hiking in the Homochitto National Forest, and boating in the Homochitto reservoir.

Wether your rocking on the porch, or hiking around the 4 miles of trails on our 320 acres, there’s plenty to explore while visiting. The house has a 1200 sq ft great room/ kitchen area that provides the perfect place spread out and relax when we’re not exploring the woods.
