Set on a picturesque farm and attached to the main house, The Annex is a 3 bedroom property with 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and open dining area as well as a large living space with an electric log effect burner. We are located in peaceful countryside with plenty of rural walks, cycle tracks, wildlife and only 10 minutes drive from Ryde Pier and Beach.

Although secluded, it is just a short distance to Ryde town centre & beaches . The property boasts a living/dining room with a smart tv and dining table and chairs , one being a double sofa bed.. Walk in shower in bathroom.. The kitchen has everything you need including dishwasher… The bedroom can be made up as 2 singles or kingsize upon request.

Our cottage

We have a Recently refurbished 2x bedroom flat which was part of our home, it has it's own entrance with parking space on private drive . The flat also has a kitchen , bathroom , separate shower and lounge . Our house is situated in a quiet location and a 5min drive to our local town which is Ryde. We are on a bus route to many other destinations around the island. Approximately 15mins drive from Fishbourne car ferry , 30mins from east cowes car ferry and 60mins from Yarmouth car ferry.

Clara Cottage: Perfect - comfortable and stylish

Clara Cottage is the perfect holiday home for up to 6 guests. St Helen's Beach is a few minute's walk away, the Duver nearby is a beautiful nature reserve with bird life and sand dunes. The village green opposite has a huge grassy area plus a children's play park. The village shop and post office sells everything that you could need . There is a pub on the green and a restaurant. Any time of year, you will find that this is an idyllic location. You are welcome to bring a dog with you.

'The Annexe' forms part of the main residence built on the old parade ground of Steyne Wood Battery. The Battery was built on the eastern coastline of the Isle of Wight and became a scheduled monument in 2015, being one of the best surviving Victorian Batteries and, as such, all the bomb proof shelters, ammunition stores, gun positions and defensive structures in the surrounding grounds remain intact. Rosie & I let this stone built converted cart shed which is 200 years old. Paddock Cottage stands at the edge of our garden with open land behind. The accommodation is open plan 'studio style', with shower room. It is quiet and secluded and has a cosy wood burning stove. Off road easy parking and access. Well behaved dogs welcome, easy access to walkies.
