This area is popular with bird watches, walkers, wildlife photographers and cyclists or anyone who wants a relaxing break away surrounded by open countryside. There is plenty to do throughout the year wether you want coast, town or countryside it’s all in easy reach for your enjoyment.

With its own beachside garden and breathtaking uninterrupted views of the wildest of Essex creeks and marshes, the cottage is only to be reached on foot atop a sea wall. The perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The last in a row of westerly facing cottages, perfect to watch the evening sun go down . From the front garden or even laying in bed, watch the tide slip in and out, the fishing boats come and go and live, for a while, in a world moving at a slower pace.

Self check-in assured at this charming former railway cottage situated on a private lane. We have a reputation for complete cleanliness and we are extremely vigilant on behalf of our guests. Back to the fun stuff, this cosy cottage has many original features. Step outside and there is a private south-facing secure garden with lovely new large patio, and a gorgeous suntrap for most of the day. Free parking. Doggies and cats are most welcome. We are a 10 min walk to the town centre.

The White Cottage Romantic Riverside Retreat

Grade 2 listed Tudor cottage with amazing inglenook fireplace. Large riverside garden (previously featured in the NGS) plus use of a hot tub, for an additional charge, in grounds. Ideal for longer stays with excellent commuter links for London, Harpenden, St Albans and Stevenage. Relax and enjoy footpath walks, including the Ayot Green Way, to gastro pubs. The Barn, beautiful rural retreat

The Barn is located within the grounds of our Grade 2 listed Cottage and yet is far enough away from the main house to allow our guests privacy. The property offers two luxurious double bedrooms and a modern bathroom with shower and bath. The light and spacious living / kitchen area is fully equipped with all appliances including a dishwasher and provides comfortable seating for all our guests. Guests will receive a welcome pack of goodies on arrival.

46 acres Parkland/Lakes -Hot Tub, Heated Pool

Cottage completely self-contained, attached to a Grade II* listed country house, set in 46 acres of private grounds. Beautiful, tranquil parkland setting, originally designed by Sir Humphrey Repton, with ongoing improvements. The Outdoor Heated Pool (April- October inclusive) and Hot Tub (all year) are situated in a sheltered tropical garden, with a Pool House. There is an outdoor hard tennis court. Beautiful lakes, gardens, countryside and wildlife.
