Tamar Rest

This stylish, spacious, one bedroom suite provides privacy and comfort. You can lie in bed and take in the panoramic views across beautiful kanamaluka/Tamar River to the hills beyond and the glittering lights of the city at night. Enjoy a local pinot on the patio in summer or in front of the cosy wood fire in winter whilst watching for wallabies, cute little pademelons or our resident echidna. A lovely continental breakfast with homemade bakery items will set you up for a day of sight seeing.

Located in the heart of world class golf courses, mountain bike tracks and vineyards but within minutes walk to cafe, shops, hotels, village green, playgrounds and beaches. Lots to do, including basketball hoop, mountain bikes and swing set. Enjoy board games, books, puzzles, Netflix etc.

Treetops - art, views near Cataract Gorge

A stylish, sun-filled townhouse just minutes by car from the city centre. Stunning views of Launceston and the Tamar River can be seen through the treetops and in the distance forested mountain slopes. Across the road, a trail leads down Cataract Gorge. The classy, well-stocked library has a comfy sofa, and a dedicated workspace with desk and chair. A sunny deck beckons. Fast wifi and Smart TV with streaming services are available. Located close to the CBD, the studio is suitable for couples or single travellers, and is ideal accommodation whether visiting for business or leisure. It’s a great base from which to explore Launceston and it’s surrounds. The studio has a compact, well equipped kitchen. Stylish Scandinavian furniture provides comfort when it’s time to relax. Milk, bread and jam provided for breakfast.

We are located just 10 minutes from the city, where the iconic Tamar Valley Wine Route begins and the unique Tamar Island Wetlands provide one of the most popular visitor attractions in Northern Tasmania.

Set in a unique mountain biking township, the Derby Cabin is our newest addition to The Bank House accommodation offering. This recently renovated and fully insulated apartment is perfect for two guests. Located at the rear of The Bank House with private access, The Cabin makes for the ideal launch pad for any adventure being only a few minutes walk to popular eateries, the iconic floating sauna, walking tracks, heritage and natural attractions.
