Desert Pea Miner’s Cottage

Relax at this unique historic miner’s cottage circa 1910, with character features such as pressed tin ceilings. This cottage the hosts conveniences of a modern kitchen with full size fridge, stove and oven, and modern bathroom. Two bedrooms with 2 quality queen beds plus a king single bed. There’s a laundry with a second toilet. Enjoy a large outdoor table perfect for drinks or meals. Take in the starry sky around the fire pit. Shops are a 10 min stroll just past the local plant arboretum.

The Gladstone Heritage Stay+Barstool Stories

The Gladstone Hotel was built in 1887 and is listed on the Broken Hill Silver Trail Drive (#84). The 1924 front bar is now a studio for Barstool Stories. More information on this project provided under 'Studio' in photo section. With 4 bedrooms, this peaceful sanctuary in the desert is a short walk to shops, transport and parks for kids and K9s. Full aircon/heating, the bluestone keeps this home warm in winter and cool in summer. Off street parking for four vehicles - secure for 6 bikes.

A cute, cosy stay in the peaceful, North-Eastern side of Broken Hill. An early 1900s, tin cottage recently renovated for all your needs, just a five minute drive from the heart of town or catch the bus from out the front. We've tried to maintain some quirky Broken Hill cottage characteristics, whilst providing modern comfort, styled in a way to help cool & calm the weary traveler. If you like a bit of character you'll find it here whilst relaxing in reverse cycle heating/cooling & spa bath.

You can explore Broken Hill via day and after a half hour trip, be ‘out bush’ enjoying the peace and quiet, watching the wildlife and soaking up the amazing sunsets of Mt Gipps Station. The 40km journey to 'The Workers Hut' has only 10km of graded dirt road. Plenty of spots for bushwalking, a picnic lunch or just sit back and watch the daily workings of this organic sheep farm.
