This charming wee granite cottage is snuggled into the idyllic countryside in the shadow of the local landmark, Bennachie, a large hill range which dominates the landscape.

Seaspray is a traditional stone built fisherman’s cottage in the conservation village of Portknockie on the north east coast of Scotland. It’s light and bright yet a cosy retreat from those refreshing salty coastal winds. Although quaint to look at from the outside, inside it is tardis-like with 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The Farm Bothy cottage offers luxury accommodation on a working sheep farm. It is self-contained, within a modern steading/barn conversion. We live in the other wing of the house. You can explore the farm, woodlands and our garden. Ideally located for visiting nearby castles and distilleries the area also has great cycling, golfing, fishing and horse-riding. Our local pub is a mile away. The nearest town, Alford, has a pub, restaurant, shops, supermarket, parks and museums.

The main hall has a wood burning stove in the seating area and a further lounge upstairs with views overlooking the garden .Outside there is a fenced garden with a barbecue , patio and wood burning hot tub for 8 with views of the surrounding countryside and Moray Firth. The garden is large and you have full run of the whole premises during your stay. There are some lovely walks from the house.
