The beautiful surrounding bush has been lost. See photos) We think our architecturally designed house is a perfect romantic getaway. We built it for the view, so you can relax with a coffee/wine and enjoy the best of Tasmania's east coast, in comfort. Stroll along the deserted beach & read or listen to our record collection by the fire.

Large fully fenced level yard, with ample parking on site. Large open plan kitchen, living and dining area opens onto outdoor deck where you can enjoy the sunset, with the sounds of waves crashing on the beach, just minutes walk away. Great location to base your East Coast adventure, ideal for couples or families.

Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Spring Beach Getaway is a beautiful holiday house on the East Coast of Tasmania, just 1-hour drive from Hobart, across the road from Spring Beach with beautiful views to Maria Island. Minutes’ drive from Orford, and less than two hours’ drive to Freycinet National Park, with plenty of beautiful scenery and wineries along the way.

You instantly feel “at home” at the blackshack. Please Note: Our very last booking weekend will be the 5th June 2026 to allow us to prepare for the sale of our Airbnb/home. Hopefully we can sell as an ongoing business so that you can all still enjoy this amazing space
