Roaring Fork Chalet Long Range Views Mt Mitchell

The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dog accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

Sitting on a 2-acre pasture with 2 small creeks that meet in the corner; with a sunset that goes down just above. Walk off the deck to feed "alpaca and friends". Collect fresh farm eggs and produce from the organic garden during season. Relax on the hammock or sit by the fire pit; while grilling your favorite foods.

The Flying Gogoplata @ The Baying Hound Campground

The Flying Gogoplata, located in the quirky and uniquely “Asheville” Baying Hound Campground, is a tree-house-like sleeping pod suspended 10 feet in the air on stilts. There’s a *small*, padded twin bed-sized platform for either a small couple or single person. Be sure to bring sleeping bags and pillows (and maybe a sleeping pad if you like it extra soft). We love kids, but the HiTop isn’t child-friendly and sound travels, so it’s best for adults.

The Bird House

I created a passive solar tiny house, with tons of south facing windows & beautiful mountain views. It's located just 4 miles from downtown Marshall & it is about 20-25 mins. from both Asheville & Hot Springs. There are plenty of outdoor activities nearby which include horseback riding, rafting/paddling on the French Broad River, zip-lining, hiking (we have more details in the host guidebook).
