Step out the back door onto a spacious waterfront deck designed for relaxing, outdoor dining, and evenings by the fire while overlooking the water. Walk less than a block to downtown shops and a nearby bar and grill, then unwind with comfortable sleeping for family, a collection of movies, and peaceful river views just outside your door. Simple, scenic, and centrally located for an easy, relaxing stay.

The historic Carter House was built by its namesake J.H. Carter in 1866. Carter was one of the most prominent and influential residents of Shell Rock. He was a founding father of many of the community's businesses. The House remained in his family until 1952. In 2022, the Carter House was purchased by Star Valley Hospitality and was completely renovated. This stylish single family home boasts 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and is now an inviting short-term rental.

Step out the back door to immediately enjoy the sights and sounds of the Shell Rock River. Located one block off Greene Main Street.
