The Old Barn, Buxton - A Dream Come True

It's rare to find a place that's both historic and modern. It has been my dream to renovate the unique and private barn at our Grade 2 family home and finally it has happened! I would love to share it with you. Ours is one of the oldest houses in Buxton dating back to the seventeenth century and was once a coaching stop on the medieval road to London. It is now a boutique property set near the common, ideally situated to explore the Peak District yet just a short walk into the town centre.

Top floor flat with far reaching views

Central but quiet 1 bedroom flat in the heart of Buxton. Great views but please bare in mind it is 80 steps to get the the front door, Centrally located so all that Buxton has to offer is a short walk away. Buxton is a vibrant town with an active events calender. Recently decorated and refitted throughout with WIFI and internet tv, two comfy sofas. There is paid parking on the doorstep and free on street parking close by. Ideal location for town stays and walking breaks in the Peak District.

A beautiful kitchen with views over the Buxton crescent offering everything needed for your stay, having the Buxton Opera House, Pavilion Gardens and the Devonshire Dome directly outside there is no better location Surrounded by French, Italian, Thai and many more fabulous restaurants and bars.

"The Barn” at Stoop Farm

"The Old Shippon" at Stoop Farm is a modern barn conversion sleeping at least 6 in 3 spacious bedrooms all with private bathrooms. A fully equipped kitchen, large lounge and dinning area gives you all you need to unwind and relax in this spectacular corner of the Peak District National Park overlooking Chrome Hill. Footpaths lead you directly into one of the most dramatic landscapes of the peaks. Stoop farm is in a beautiful secluded location yet only 15mins from the spa town of Buxton.

2 double bedrooms on entire 2nd floor apartment

The top floor is exclusively yours. There is shared access through my front door and the first set of stairs. 2 double bedrooms. An extra travel cot and z bed are available if you bring your own bedding. Spacious living room and bathroom. For basic self catering ( no sink) there’s a TV, kettle, microwave-combi oven, toaster, double electric hot plate and mini fridge. All the necessary crockery. If you use all the crockery before checkout I will put it through the dishwasher downstairs.

After buying this property in 2023, we worked tirelessly renovating every room, and re-working the layout to give a much more 'worldwide' feel to this little Peak District flat! With the charming coffee shops & restaurants of the town, the surrounding beauty of the Peak District minutes from our door, and the best tap water you'll ever taste, you'll fall in love with Buxton.

Peaceful, modern conversion in Peak District

Situated only 10 minutes drive/on foot approximately 35 minutes from the famous spa town of Buxton, this modern, open plan barn conversion offers a tranquil retreat for those in search of peaceful break in the country or as a base for walkers and cyclists to explore the many places of beauty in the surrounding area. The well equipped apartment sleeps two with a double-bed and boasts a modern kitchen and bathroom with shower. In addition we provide free WiFi and parking for all guests!

A Buxton Eco-house for Peak District adventures

The cottage is located in central Buxton, 10 mins walk from the cultural centre around The Opera House and Crescent Spa Hotel. It is convenient for Bus and Rail connections. There is a single VW Golf sized parking place (larger if you're careful) at the rear with metered EV charge point. We have designed the rebuilding to include a room-in-the-roof bedroom, whole house ventilation with heat recovery, underfloor heating throughout, powered by Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump.

Delightful 2 bedroom apartment!

Large 2 bedroom masionette apartment spread over 2 floors. Newly refurbished, a real labour of love..and endless youtube videos!! Central location, on a main road but quiet and private. No onsite parking but plenty of free on road parking on numerous side streets. Pick up and drop off at the door. A 5 minute walk to Buxton town. Electric Fire, Smart TV, Arcade machine with 60 retro games (including Pac-Man,space invaders, donkey kong) and Wifi make for those chilled cosy nights!

Lavender Cottage at Hawthorn Farm

Lavender Cottage is part of a converted barn at Hawthorn Farm. The cottage offers self catering accommodation, which comprises of two double bedrooms and one double/twin room all with their own en-suite’s, a fully fitted well equipped kitchen/diner and a spacious open plan lounge. Ample free on site parking is available for guests. The cottage is in easy walking distance of the town centre and available to book all year round.

Brooklands Annexe

Brooklands Annex is situated in an Art's and Craft's Edwardian residence. The apartment is self contained and comes with private off road parking. Brooklands is situated 5 minutes walk from the Pavillion Gardens and a pleasant 10 minute walk from the town centre, along the Victorian Broadwalk. Buxton Spa Town offers a fantastic base for exploring the Peak District, with it's surrounding villages and attractions.

Limehurst 1867 - Central location, ground floor

Spacious Victorian ground floor garden apartment located within 5 minutes walk of Buxton town centre, Buxton Opera House and numerous bars & restaurants. The apartments comfortably sleeps 2 boasting 1 luxury bathroom and also ensuite shower room. 6ft sleigh bed, kitchen, large lounge, Wifi, TV and off road parking etc.
