Unique Dutch Miller’s House

This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

Inn on the Lake is an all season sensation. In summer the gardens are lush with private terraces and full of seasonal flowers. Our beautiful boat is ready to take our guests on a nature trip through the lakes and surroundings. In winter the 17th century Vicarage and the lake glitter with ice and skating is in front of our doorstep. Our private Spa/Sauna & Massage treatments is open for our guests only. The perfect retreat to relax and enjoy just 11 minutes from the city of Amsterdam.

We are devoted to our tiny house at the Vinkeveense Plassen. We like to share our beautiful place, which is why we occasionally rent out our tiny house, "Waar geluk ligt" We have decorated it ourselves to make it as comfortable as possible. We find life in a small space with a lot of outside space to give a free feeling. Especially with the Vinkeveense Plassen in front of us. Two bedrooms, one mezzazine, sleeps 6 people. Please note the mezzazine has a steep ladder. We prefer to host families or people with reviews. 30 minute drive to Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Zaandam. Closer are Edam, Volendam and Marken.
