It’s an easy 11 mile drive to Waynesville, Lake Junaluska, or the Blue Ridge Parkway; 20 miles to Cataloochee Ski Lodge & just west of the amazing Biltmore House in Asheville. Canton was recently featured in “Our State” Magazine for the revived down town area. We love the small town atmosphere, location & believe you will too. This is what you have been looking for. Amazing cabin right on the river on private acreage. Comfortable and rustic with modern amenities. NO Cleaning Fees and FREE firewood!. TUBES provided. Great for small groups.. plenty of places to enjoy the beautiful natural setting. Coffee by the river, float on a tube, soak in the hot tub, grill out, have a fire. Sleep to the sounds of the river. Make sure to check the other notes for sleeping arrangements. 15 min to Waynesville and 30 min to Asheville.

Red Cottage

Your stay at Red Cottage will be comfortable, easily accessible, and minutes away from Canton, Waynesville, and Maggie Valley. The circa 1950’s Cottage is fully renovated inside and out. Beautiful front porch and lovely sitting area in the rear of the Cottage. We are climate controlled with a mini split HVAC to keep you toasty warm in spring, fall, and winter and comfortably cool in the summer. Internet access and TVs in the living room and master bedroom. Washer and dryer included. Welcome!

Bring out the yoga mats for a relaxing meditation or fun workout, roast some s'mores over the outdoor firepit sat right next to the creek or go for a game of air-hockey!

Or if you are exploring the area then it is the perfect home base for adventures in the mountains or to Asheville for breweries, dining or shopping.

This family friendly, private retreat sits on a gently flowing creek under the shadows of Cold Mountain and the Art Loeb Trail. You may want to sit on the covered porch or deck while listening to the creek. If you love the outdoors or are a hiking enthusiast, our cabin is for you. We are about 20 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Waynesville, Canton, Maggie Valley, and Lake Junaluska are approximately 30 minutes away; a 45-minute drive will take you to Asheville.
