Elegant guest wing with own private garden & pool.

Feel spoilt by the elegance of yesteryear in the 1800’s manor of Mount Pleasant. Dine al fresco beside your private pool at this historic property nestled under Table Mountain. Unwind with a glass of Cape wine in the gracious and romantic guest suite with its own vine-strewn garden, or curl up in an armchair by the grand stone fireplace. The spacious and airy open-plan guest suite is ideal for couples and young families. Centrally located in leafy Newlands, within walking distance of the famous sports stadiums, UCT and SACS. The house has been recently renovated and is a family home, and the property of Mount Pleasant is an interesting slice of Cape Town’s history, dating back to the 18th Century. The guest suite is ideal for a couple or family and consists of: - one large open plan bedroom-lounge (sleeps 3 - 4) - a full kitchen - bathroom with bath, shower, double vanity - a private lap pool - private garden looking up to Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak. In summer, lazing beside the sunny pool, dining outside and having a traditional South African “braai” (barbecue) are a must and in winter the roaring fire, full kitchen and TV provide a warm retreat. The bedroom-lounge is open plan with separate kitchen and bathroom. King size bed, a single sofa bed and a further single bed set up in the suite for 4th guest if required. Cable TV and WiFi are included. On offer are bottles of wine and drinks, laundry and cleaning services. Other extras which may be available are: use of the baronial dining room for meetings (seating for up to 18 people) or special occasions (daytime only). Please note: the pool is NOT fenced and is immediately adjacent to the suite, so please take extra care (therefore the space is not recommended for children who cannot swim). Private garden and pool. Off-street parking for 1 car. Use of the large dining room on request. Guests can enjoy total privacy, but the family and domestic staff are usually at home to welcome you and happy to answer questions and assistance via phone or text.Our friendly dogs: Boris, Frankie, Josh and Pixel will always give you an enthusiastic welcome (but your garden and wing is private so the dogs won’t bother you). Newlands is one of the original leafy suburbs of Cape Town bordering the University and State President’s residence. Lovely and sheltered from summer winds and cafes, restaurants and shops are a stroll away. Newlands is perfectly central for most of Cape Town’s most popular excursions. Table Mountain and cableway, the V&A Waterfront, beaches, wine farms, and the city centre are all within 10-25 minutes' drive and Ubers etc are readily available. The suburb of Newlands itself has many attractions, but to enjoy the full offering of Cape Town we recommend hiring a car or taking a taxi (Uber or call-taxi). Private guides or drivers will also collect directly from the premises. Airport transfers/shuttles/taxis are available at the airport or by booking through a transfer company. POOL Important: the pool is not protected with a net or fence and is immediately adjacent to the suite so please be careful and we do NOT recommend the suite for infants/children who cannot swim. PETS We can accommodate pets on request, but be aware there are resident dogs. EXTRAS Extras, such as wine, can be paid in cash or through the SnapScan App. MEETINGS & FUNCTIONS The baronial dining room can be booked for special meetings and daytime functions (rates/availability on request). It is a handsome room and seats 14-18 people. SHOOTS & LOCATION The Mount Pleasant manor house and grounds may be available for professional photography/film shoots. This would need to be by special arrangement directly with owners or their agents. Rates vary according to specifics of the shoot. (Please note: use of the guest space for commercial shoots would be an extra cost and is not included in the accommodation rate).

Soho on Strand is a wonderful location in Cape Town, positioned in the heart of the World Cup festival atmosphere alongside the newly rejuvenated Cape Quarter and in walking distance of the stadium, V&A Waterfront, CBD and Convention Centre. This area has had tremendous cosmetic investment by the organising committee of the world cup, as it is positioned on walking route to the stadium that is popular for sporting fixtures and concerts. Whether you are wanting to indulge in Cape Town sight-seeing, sample the best of Cape Town cuisine, relax in a fashionable coffee shop, cocktail bar or browse the historical cobble stoned district, you will not need to stroll far from your front door. We are 30 mins drive from the Cape Winelands, 20 mins from the airport, 10 minutes from Camps Bay beach, 5 minutes from the Table Mountain cableway, and the CBD, V&A Waterfront, Convention Centre is in walking distance. Only one block away, The Cape Quarter newly restored heritage site, is home to some of the city's best restaurants, bars, boutiques, coffee shops, museums and piazza entertainment - set amongst the quaint cobbled stoned tree lined avenues of the historical Cape Malay area. Camps Bay Beach is a 10 min drive and the cable car to the top of Table Mountain is also a 10 min drive. Guests access the entire apartment, private balcony, shared swimming pool and barbecue area, reception area and resident's parking garage accessed directly from the lift. I do not live on the premises. In most cases I make use of the Airbnb self check-in facility because I prepare for guests in the morning and live too far away to be able to return to the city for late check in times. I am however constantly available on message and phone for enquiries and conversation. De Waterkant is a hip neighbourhood full of restaurants, cafes, and museums. Venture out to Bo Kaap nearby and explore its cobblestone streets, green spaces, and rooftop lounges. Both areas are within walking distance of the city centre.

Camps Bay Family Beach home with great views.

Wander through this stunning, bright townhouse and absorb design inspiration from its eclectic touches. Prepare a meal on the BBQ grill, take a swim in the pool, and light the fire pit while enjoying the sunset with family and friends. 11 The Retreat is only a 3 minute leisurely walk from the famous Camps Bay beach and restaurants. The house is spread over 3 levels. A 3 car private and lockable garage on the first, main living area inside and outside on the second level and bedrooms and bathrooms on the top and 3rd level. All levels are accessible by stairs and is therefore not wheelchair friendly or will not suit guests with walking difficulty. Accommodation is made up of 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Toilets are not separate but there is an additional guest loo on the second level. The house has a small private swimming pool, fire pit and gas barbecue. Pick n pay and a great variety of restaurants are just a short walk away. The property was newly renovated in 2015 and refurnished October 2016. For the duration of your stay, you will have access to the entire home. I am phone call away to assist with anything you may need during your stay. Enjoy security and serenity in the amazing neighborhood of Camps Bay. Stroll for just three minutes to the beach or enjoy the restaurant hub and local shops. Exploring beyond the area is easy with easy access to Cape Town and surrounding areas. The Cape Town my City bus stop as well as the red Cape Town sightseeing tourist bus is nearby and approximately a 5 min walk. We can also assist with airport transfers and all other traveling requirements. Should you wish for us to shop for you and stock the fridge and pantry before your arrival, we can do that too at an additional service fee.

Watch the Sunrise in a Home with a Mountain View

The apartment is set high up on Little Lionshead with panoramic views of the Hout Bay Valley and the Helderberg mountains beyond. Folding doors lead onto an expansive pool deck with sun loungers and a gas barbecue all for the exclusive use of the apartment guests. There is a full kitchenette with oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, an en suite bathroom, lounge area with a large flat panel TV and an open-plan dining area. The apartment is serviced daily except for Sundays and public holidays. We have solar and battery power so are not affected by power outages. Mountain Walks, Village atmosphere with a city 10 minutes away. Beach 2km away. The suite is located on the lower level of the property and is totally private. There is parking on the property. Pool, garden, Mountain We are available to transport you around the Cape, take you on wine tours at an additional fee. MacD, our housekeeper is on hand 24 hours to assist where necessary The house is safe and secure with guarded entrance. Wake up to birdsong and enjoy the surrounding majestic mountains. Mount Rhodes is a security estate nestled in the foot of Little Lions Head. Mycity bus stop at the bottom of the road, Uber We provide a laundry service at an additional cost and breakfast is available if ordered at least 24 hours before at an additional cost as well. I am also more than happy to make any reservations for tours or restaurants on your behalf.

Aboyne Cottage—Peaceful Oasis in Quiet Cul-De-Sac

Pluck lemons from the tree and pick herbs from the planters for use in a tasty dish to enjoy in the cool and shaded courtyard. The bright and airy cottage interior has high vaulted ceilings, together with a selection of books and magazines to read to enjoy in the bed made up with 400TC luxury linen. Battery backed up Wi-Fi and additional lights for surviving load shedding. No smoking allowed on property. Guests have own cottage with a private, shady courtyard. Herbs in planters in courtyard and dart board are available for guests to use as well as lemons on own lemon tree. We're an international family consisting of a South African, a New Zealander and a Norwegian. One of us will always be available on our phones and we're happy to chat and share a G&T on our porch if our guests are up for it! This guesthouse is in a quiet neighbourhood, about 15 minutes by car from town and near to vibrant Harfield. Closer still, the village offers a farm stall, butchery, and supermarket within a short walk, plus coffee shops and lots of restaurants. We always recommend uber for short term stays in Cape Town but there is an off-street sheltered parking available if needs be. 10 minute walk to Kenilworth train station and 2 minute walk from Main Road with frequent taxi buses in both directions. Servicing of cottage and laundry can be done on request. Continental breakfast can be provided on request.

Sit out on the spacious wraparound balcony and enjoy a mountain view on a misty morning. Serve lunch or dinner for six on the balcony dining table. Return at night with a bottle of local wine for a serene view of twinkling city lights. The perfect place for a work-cation, with stable, high-speed internet, relaxing work spaces, coffee machine and beautiful scenery sure to boost productivity. Not to mention a full BACK UP POWER UPS system, so not even load-shedding will be able to disrupt you during your stay. Work, play or both. You've got it! Amazing wrap around balcony with uninterrupted views of Lions Head and Signal Hill. There’s a great feeling of space and tranquility in my apartment. The perfect place to put your feet up relax and enjoy the sea air and beautiful Cape Town lifestyle. I’m always available for advice and have some great tips and ideas for special and memorable things to do in Cape Town. The neighbourhood has a real village-like vibe to it. Everything is walkable and very convenient—beaches, shops, restaurants, and so on. The promenade is just a few hundred meters away, and is perfect for an early morning jog or evening sunset walk. Walk, bike, taxi or local buses, but everything is very close by. Travel crib can be set up upon request if you are travelling with babies or toddlers.

Hillside Escape with Ocean Views and Outdoor Pool

The apartment is spacious , homely, stylish and well positioned with sea and mountain views . Great balcony for sipping sundowners Guest have their own access and have exclusive use to the garden and pool . Guests are welcomed by me or one of the staff . ... they have as much or as little interaction as suits . We like to make the quests feel as comfortable as possible . An e-mail is sent to the guest prior to their arrival , with my and staff contact numbers , other useful information ...... local groceries stores , restaurant and tour suggestions . The apartment is conveniently located in a suburban residential area of Camps Bay. This hillside neighborhood is quiet and has access to nearby restaurants, bars, the beach, and downtown. Car and taxi are good or quickest . Bus ( my citi bus ) stop is 500 meters away , every 20 minutes . The apartment is cleaned daily , except for Sundays and public holidays , however requests for either can be arranged .
