We are ideally located to visit Edinburgh during the festive period and enjoy the delights of the famous Christmas Market and historic sights. This magical spot is ideal for those wishing to escape city life and recharge their batteries surrounded by what many say are the best views in East Lothian. There are a wide variety of walks and cycling routes for all levels and interests.

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". It's an easy one-mile walk to a pub. Dog friendly. The house next door, a Little House on the Hill (Herniecleugh), is also available.
