Private BBQ, screened tent( high season) WINTER BOOKINGS- snow tires/AWD required; driveway is steep but well maintained year-round. Muted traffic can be noticeable at times. Just minutes away from Cabot’s Landing provincial park, North Highlands Nordic cross country skiing and snowshoeing, gorgeous local hiking trails, Cape Breton Highland’s National park, whale watching, canoeing, kayaking, and so much more.

You will also enjoy access to your own small private island that is connected by a shallow sand bar. Sit out on the large deck or floating dock to enjoy the views of the river, launch kayaks, paddle boards, and swim. We have signed up for the strongest internet service offered in the area (Starlink). Cellular reception is not great in the area.

Two double bedrooms and a full bathroom are on the second level. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening nightcap on the master bedroom balcony. A sunroom on the main floor completes this welcoming cottage.

This cottage is centrally located between Baddeck, Inverness and Cheticamp. It is approximately 30 min each way. It features a lovely, large back yard with firepit area and mountain views. The Portree bridge is a short walk down the road, which is a popular swimming spot. The river runs along the opposite side of the road. There are lots of local beaches, hiking trails and golf courses in the area. The property also has direct access to the highland snowmobile/atv trails.
