Traditional Country Cottage

1 Gloucester Cottages is nestled in the quaint mining village of Stanton Drew in the Chew Valley, Somerset, The village is home of the prehistoric Stanton Drew stone circles, the second largest stone circle in Britain after Avebury. The cottage is great for families and couples, it has a fully equipped kitchen and is furnished through out, a king sized bed and double with all linen included. We have fast wifi, parking and an open working fireplace for those cosy nights in with a bottle of red.

Additional double bed available for an extra 2 guests; £60 fee per night, charged on arrival. Please specify this to the host, at the time of booking. NOTE: this studio is a separate dwelling within the grounds of main family home.

There is 1 double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, open plan sitting /dining room and bathroom. Surrounded by countryside this is a truly peaceful place. Perfect for couples or individuals to explore the beautiful Chew Valley and Mendip Hills and the cities of Bristol, Bath and Wells. The Beehive is next to our family home with access via our garden. This delightful accommodation is just a stone's throw from the extremely popular village pub.

The Old Stable is a beautiful one-bedroom detached barn conversion which can accommodate up to four guests. Newly renovated in 2021 to a luxurious standard with plenty of character, beamed ceilings, bifold doors and stylish furnishings. The property has breathtaking views over the Mendips and the Chew Valley Lakes. There is even a walk down to the lake which is 400 yards away. One well behaved dog is welcome. Please ensure that when you make your booking you add the £10 pet fee.

The spacious yet cosy Showman’s opens onto a private terrace with breathtaking views over a woodland canopy and Chew Valley Lake. There is also a private hot tub which can be booked before your stay for an additional cost of £70 for a session.
