Welcome to the Historic Morgue! An eerie ambience greets you upon arrival..the history runs deep for this building. This antique, nationally recognized, historic building offers antique decor with a modern twist! Morgue decor throughout, rightly so..paying homage to its dark history. This is a loft setting offering a king bed, full size bed, twin and an antique settee(possibly suited for a small child). A large kitchen with small breakfast seating as well as a large table! And that bathroom!

The acreage adjoins Old Wire Conservation Area, an 800 acre Missouri Conservation area with hiking trails.

We are located two minutes from the town square but you will enjoy our country setting. We recently built our 900 sq. ft 1 bedroom, 1 ½ bath cottage for up to a two (2) guest to stay. This secluded & cozy home is located on our 3 acre property & backs up to a serene view of the woods. We usually have deer that visit, and two 6-year old donkey’s named Fizz & Rizzo who live on our property. If you want to meet them, just let us know! We are happy to share our little Namaste cottage with our guests, and hope you enjoy your stay, as much as we love living here.

Even the adults that are kids at heart will enjoy this unique space. There are toys, games and a game table for everyone of all ages.

If dog hair is left on the bedding, there is a $30 charge.

The kitchenette area decorated in a Coca-Cola theme provides a bit of nostalgia, adding to the cozy feel of the space. We desire to make your stay as comfortable as possible, providing local insights while also working hard to honor your privacy. A laundry room is a shared area, but we work hard to limit use while guests are here.
