The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

Unfortunately, the giant tub is not operational.

Our newly built home in 2025 is located on a quiet street in Citrus Springs and makes an excellent home base. Our home is minutes from Rainbow Springs and Three Sisters Springs for a swim with the manatees. A daytrip to the beach is just minutes from our home and a trip to Disney is just a car ride away. Many excellent dining options are all located nearby as well!

River Retreats Escape/Angler’s Paradise

Country setting, FREE use of the Kayaks and golf cart, or take the kayaks to Rainbow River, my place is on the “Withlacoochee River” so you would put in at the neighborhood ramp and paddle North to get to the Rainbow River. The KP Hole and Rainbow Springs State Park are 10-15 min away. You can bring your own boat, “there is a boat ramp in the neighborhood”, and local ramps in town. Relax by the fire in the evening. Peaceful, quiet and only 10 minutes from town for shopping and dining.

Cozy Cottage. Surrounded by nature, not neighbors.

Our one-bedroom cottage sits in the middle of over 25 acres of the beautiful Florida Nature Coast. Even though we are secluded, we have all the comforts of home, from indoor plumbing and hot water to AC and Wi-Fi. Our TV has a Firestick, so bring your streaming accounts and relax night away after you retire from roasting Smores on the outdoor firepit. A fold out sleeper couch takes this from a 2 person cottage to 4 in just minutes. Parking is not an issue, even if you have a trailer.

Nestled amongst the trees on the Withlacoochee River, Elegant Escape is a 1-bdroom/1-loft bedroom/1-bathroom waterfront townhouse with a fully enclosed sunroom for protection from weather and bugs. It is half a mile from Rainbow River and is ideally suited to guests who want to golf, fish, bike, or enjoy water sports, as well as those who want to nature watch. Only 20 miles to WEC (World Equestrian Center). Includes two parking spaces and a boat slip. Boat launch across the river.
