房客“My stay at Srinekatan Villa came during the COVID-19 pandadditional router or range extenderemic. Along with the serenity, the peace and quiet, simplicity and the grandeur of the place, it provides for a safe refuge for those who're unwilling to take too many risks during this pandemic. Room itself: The biggest plus for me was the size of the room and a large window which guaranteed ample sunlight in the room. The attached bathroom too is fairly large. Many other hotels in Ahmedabad don't give rooms of this size for the price I paid for this villa. Cleanliness: The rooms and the kitchen are well-maintained and super-clean. Two cleaners comes everyday (except Sundays) to clean the attached bathroom and the room. Of course, cleanliness of the kitchen also depends on how guests maintain the kitchen. Kitchen itself: There are two kitchens, one on the ground floor and the other on the first. I didn't inspect the one on the first floor, because I was staying on the ground floor. The kitchen itself provides basic devices for simple meals. The cutlery and utensils are fine. Additionally a refridgerator, two toasters (in the kitchen on the ground floor), an electric stove, a drinking-water dispenser (for drinking water), all necessities for dishwashing and ample space to keep purchased items are provided for. Given that occupants of two neighbouring rooms would be using the kitchen at any point of time, this allows for the flexibility to use the kitchen with a bit more freedom (provided you can agree with the occupants of the neighbouring room :-)). Wifi: The wifi speed is pretty decent. There were sometimes when I was unable to stream youtube videos with high resolution, but if you don't need that, then there's not much to complain about. Laundry: I think the laundry costs about Rs. 200/- for a single usage, and there's some limit on the number of clothes (also, if they're heavy, like jeans, etc, this limit is lower). Not too sure; one could contact the host for this. Caretaker: there's a caretaker who lives in the house 24x7 and can be requested anything. For more questions one could directly speak with the host. Communication with the host: I have the feeling that the host is flexible, depending upon the nature of the guest. This is perhaps one of the most important characteristics that a host should have. Additionally, I found the host easy to speak with a mind to ensure that the guests are comfortable. I didn't have too many requests, so I can't comment too much, but perhaps other reviews would guide the reader for this. The Vibe: Putting all the aforementioned together, the vibe of the place is really great. The old-style villa really does combine many characteristics (simplicity, serenity, openness of the spaces which along with everything else endow a sense of grandeaur) that would be suited for anybody who like some peace and quiet. Location: Couldn't enjoy the location as much as I'd have liked, considering it was safest to keep to my room during the pandemic. But as such, the location is pretty good for those who would like to be away from the hustle-and-bustle of the city, yet be very close to it :-) . Transportation wise, the Old-High-Court metro station (connecting N-S and E-W lines of Ahmedabad metro) is being built a stone's throw away. The villa is located in a small lane perpendicular to one of the ends of C G Rd (a major commercial street in Ahmedabad with a lot of the popular retail outlets - branded or not). Ashram Rd can (another major commerical road) is just across the metro line. Book-lovers will find Crossword at walking distance, and it's easy to procure the basic necessities for cooking and what not (a reliance store is close too, along with various vendors and stores sellings groceries).”
