Seashells Holiday Apartment

房客“We also had problems at Seashells. Fortunately we didn’t have to work with Airbnb support, like Anika before us. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a bottle of water. There wasn't anything else in the apartment, so bring seasoning if you plan to cook. Upon our arrival we found out that there wasn’t any hot water. We told the housekeeper about 10 min after she left, but she didn’t answer. So we had cold showers. The problem was fixed the day after. A week after, returning from from the beach we found the apartment completely ran out of water. We were delayed for a restaurant reservation until the problem was fixed. Then again, a couple of days later the hot water didn’t last for a shower, so they had to fix it as well. Micheal often didn't answer messages. Or if he did it was something like: “You can google Bequia restaurants and the popular ones would come up”, which we found hilarious. Apparently Micheal and Arlene moved to St. Vincent. We met them only once, the third day upon our arrival. We didn’t receive the house manual until that day so we had some questions about the washing machine. We were shocked by her rudeness when out of nowhere Arlene raised her voice at my wife to say that we “do not have access to the washer”, that they do not wash underwear, that we had “to collect a big pile of clothes” if we want the laundry to be done by the housekeeper, which was difficult given these limitations. The fee is 25EC and it is not a same day service. So we had to hand wash bathing suits, beach clothes, underwear and shirts every day. Not all of this information (big pile and underwear rules) were written in the house manual. We think that these rules should be advertised on Airbnb in order to give guests necessary information before booking or packing. Other problems were that the AC stopped working in the middle of the night, every single night. Remote control or flashlight batteries expired, the pool wasn’t clean, etc... Bring your own bright flashlight because walking at night is not safe. As other people said, the view is beautiful and the apartment is cute, even though it is in need of renovation. Micheal let us have a late check out, which was nice, but we realized that the housekeeper didn’t know about it. Besides our experience in this place, we had a great time in Bequia and we will come back, but not at Seashells!”
