Enjoy the thousands of acres of nearby hunting land, ATV trails (famous Red Bird Crest Trail, 0.9 miles away) or just relaxing!

Located only 1 mile from Manchester and half a mile from the Federal Correction Institution, the Cabin is in a rural setting yet close to everything. PLEASE NOTE: The Cabin is adjacent to a KY State Highway Garage and there’s no guarantee you won’t hear some heavy equipment noise sometimes. WiFi is 100 mbps. The Mennonite Bakery is less than a mile down the road and the swinging bridges and river are also nearby. Hiking, biking, walking and four-wheeling are all within an easy drive.

This newly freshened, mid-century home is located in the city limits of Manchester, KY, a Trail Town. It sits just a few hundred feet from the Salt Works Village and boat ramp to Goose Creek. It is a short walk or drive to one of our many swinging bridges, the Clay County Historical Society, and a number of restaurants, stores, and churches. A five minute drive can have you to the Federal Correctional Institute, AdventHealth Manchester Hospital, or Beech Creek Campground and Lake.

Our cabin is in a fairly remote area with large parking to accommodate trailers and a full 50 amp RV hook up for additional charges. Relax in the two person hot tub, stroll the 1/4 mile hiking trail, or just enjoy a cup of coffee on the patio while seeing the wildlife.

Perfect retreat for a couple or as a get away for a small family.

Nestled in a quaint Kentucky town in the heart of Daniel Boone National Forest, Gateway Cottage is mere 30 miles from the Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky - Berea. If hiking is more your speed, trail towns of McKee and Berea are within a 30 minute drive, while the National Natural Landmark of Red River Gorge is a an easy hour drive away.

This house belonged to Judge House and remained with his family for many years. We are located across from the Clay County Middle School. This has four bedrooms, one full bathroom, WiFi, television and more. Plenty of parking, garbage pickup and we do have a laundry room. We do provide bedding essentials as well as towels, washcloths, etc. It is located downtown and next to a funeral home.
