The tub is filled with fresh spring water by the guests themselves. The wood-fire keeps the water hot but not necessary. This mountain stay is nestled in the mountains of Floyd County Virginia. Peaceful country living near Philpott Lake. Outdoors trails, hunting and fishing. Near Blue Ridge Parkway, National and State parks. Enjoy the nature in a very private, quiet cottage. Very clean non smoking, 65" TV/home theatre, WI-FI , Wood Burning Stove, and outdoor fire pit (wood provided) for your enjoyment. Come and distress yourself at Hope Haven Cottage. Pets: We welcome pets. If you have more than 2 pets, please contact us for approval. There is a pet fee of $50 for the entire stay.

This cabin is located just outside the main entrance of the Fairy Stone State Park in a very quiet and safe cabin community with private roads, take a stroll or let the Kids ride there bikes while you enjoy a relaxing vacation! There is lots to do within a short drive from the cabin, from fishing to shopping and dinning in nearby towns, Vineyard tours and wine tasting, and much more.

New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away. The cottage boasts historically preserved features as well as luxury and comfort for guests. It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Up A Creek on Claytor Lake

Enjoy looking at the lake from almost every room in the house. Wake up in one of 3 private bedrooms or the sunroom (daybed and trundle bed) looking at the water. Have coffee on the porch while the sun rises, walk straight into the lake from the boat landing, enjoy relaxing on the patio, lay out in the sun, jump off the private dock, build a sandcastle on the beach, and then finish your day with a bonfire in the fire pit while still looking at the lake with the moon shining down.
