Reconnect with nature, true spa experience with the legit barrel steam water over hot rocks sauna and a wood fired hot tub plumbed to hot and cold valves. The tub is filled with fresh spring water by the guests themselves. The wood-fire keeps the water hot but not necessary. This mountain stay is nestled in the mountains of Floyd County Virginia. New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Cabin by the River

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Please expect no internet, a TV for DVD/CDs only and limited cell reception. Truly unplug & relax.

The SheShed

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The SheShed has a million dollar view and is located 2 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is at a 3000 ft elevation with vast views of the mountains and valleys. A hiker’s dream location with several hiking trails in the surrounding area. When not hiking you can visit the many vineyards or take a trip to the nearby towns to enjoy local shops, music and dining. This cabin is designed for a couple to get away and get back to nature.

Built in 1984, over 300 blueberry bushes add to the beautiful view of Bull Mountain. KING bed. Window unit AC for the warm summer months. Gas log fireplace for the winter. Mother Earth is super comfy with plush blankets washed between each stay, comfortable seating and open the dome to enjoy that fresh mountain air, and stargaze! There is a propane fireplace and a minisplit for heat/ac. A queen bed, & sleeper sofa. Also an on demand generator in case of power loss in bad weather.

The Glo Haus @Four Fillies Lodge

Reminiscent of an illuminated floating lantern, our Glo Haus offers elevated glamping among the trees. Our Glo Pod consists of three pods: two sleeping pods and one gathering pod. The two sleeping pods comfortably sleep up to two people in Twin XL to King conversion beds. We have included unique features such as a slide exit for kids, a swing, and Aurora Night Sky projectors for a special light show. This will be a truly unique experience!
