A-Frame Mountain Views/Hot Tub/Firepit

Gaze out at the Blue Ridge Mountains from an A-Frame and give back at the same time. Every 10 nights of rentals will provide 1 free night for a family who has adopted or is fostering. 3 bedrooms and a loft with a sofa sleeper allows for 8 guests (10 w/air mattress). 1 dog allowed. Watch the sunset from the hot tub or chairs around the fire pit. Wake up and sip coffee from your private deck at each bedroom. New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Cabin by the River

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Please expect no internet, a TV for DVD/CDs only and limited cell reception. Truly unplug & relax.

Windsong Tree top yurt w/ hot tub

Windsong, nestled in the tree tops in the Blue Ridge Mountains, more of a treehouse than yurt! This yurt has internet, an upper deck w/ a hot tub and a lower deck with a gas firepit. There is an outside firepit with fire wood, and the yurt is comfortable year round with a minisplit, propane fireplace and a generator. Enjoy the soaking tub in the bathroom and the walk in tiled shower. A hammock hangs beneath the yurt, and there are two other yurts at different elevations for privacy.
