Vanderkloof is a remote and relaxing holiday destination or stopover en route to your final destination. It is two hour drive from Bloem or a mere six hour drive from Joburg. It’s on South Africa’s second largest dam sporting some of the best fly fishing in the country. This self-catering holiday home offering exclusivity and privacy has a large patio with built in braai and fire pit with the view of the dam, which is a great way to unwind especially in the late afternoon as the sun goes down.

Hunters Lodge sleeping a maximum of 9 people and is fully fenced with a private braai area. Comes with a fully equipt kitchen as well as a living room, fire place and bar. The Stone Cottage Guest House, built in 1896 and recently restored is an ideal farm stay offering luxurious yet rustic self-catering accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We offer peace, tranquility, silence, stargazing, bird watching, walking, hiking, cycling, board games, reading and just relaxing. Wifi is available and TV on request. Although we are self-catering, we do offer a variety of home grown farm produce and meals which can be ordered in advance.

Hosting the largest dam in the country, the town makes for an interesting halfway stop between Johannesburg and Cape Town / Port Elizabeth. Puzzles is situated on the edge of the “koppie” and is focused primarily on the overnight traveller. Each unit contains two 3-quarter beds, and a good quality double sleeper couch. Guests have their own entrance. Each unit has an en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Locked parking is provided behind palisade gates.

Come enjoy a getaway at Alphen River Lodge.Situated on the banks of the Orange River it offers a great escape for family and friends . The river and the farm on which it is situated allow for fun outdoor activities . The beautiful decorated luxury farm style cottage is an open plan self catering unit complete with fire place, a fully equipped kitchen, queen size bed, bathroom with shower. A large stoep with breathtaking views, private garden and access to the pool at the main guesthouse, Karoo Pandok. It is also pet friendly, fully fenced but we do charge a fee of R75.00 extra per pet which is payable on arrival. Please discuss with your host.
