The Carpenter's Cottage

The carpenter's cottage is decorated in vintage woodworking and logging tools that have been used for several generations in our family. Rainier has a rich history of logging, lumber and woodworking. Some tools have been found nearby. Enjoy a peaceful country setting with deer, birds, occasional bobcat, squirrels, raccoons, occasional elk, but is a short walk to town. Watch deer munch on apples and relax in the shade as you walk around our 14 acres or enjoy them from your windows.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Walk on the private 50 acres of timberland. Fish the Coweeman River for Coho Salmon and Steelhead ( when fishing season is open). Or just relax with a book on the deck while listening to the river. For bird enthusiasts there are Bald Eagles, Osprey, King Fisher, Blue Heron, wood peckers, humming birds, owl, geese and ducks, and many more. We have 5 Alpacas and they are both friendly and curious.
