Our hidden gem is less than an hour from a bear hunt at the Alligator River Refuge or a day of exploring the Outer Banks. We’re also a short drive to a variety of game lands or Pettigrew State Park with hiking, biking, canoeing and kayaking access. With every sunset comes an opportunity to reset, and at our little haven, you can end your day with the very best!

3 Bedroom Home near the eastern NC Wildlife Refuge

Large 3 bedroom house near the eastern North Carolina wildlife refuges. The perfect place to enjoy bird/nature watching, hiking, fishing, and hunting. Minutes from Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, where countless Tundra Swan migrate for the winter. The house is near the riverfront town of Belhaven, that offers restaurants and public boat ramp options that provide access to the Pungo River and Pamlico Sound. The house is a short drive to Bell Island Swan Quarter Fishing Pier.

Moore Time

"Moore Time" for all the things you love, forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Located at the end of a quite dead-end road, only three miles from the town of Columbia and about thirty minutes away from Manteo and the Outer Banks beaches. This home is in the country and is the perfect spot for families, friends trips, hunters, fishermen, or just YOU if you need "Moore Time" for yourself. This home was completely renovated in 2024 with a lot of extras!

Page Cottage

Entire home with 2 bedrooms, sleeper sofa in den and 2 full bathrooms. Wi-fi throughout. You’ll love staying just blocks from the beautiful views of the Scuppernong River and Downtown Columbia. Great place for an evening stroll. Quaint and quiet. Access to Pocosin Lakes Wildlife Refuge is also near by. Our place is nearby to the following attractions: Pettigrew State Park - 15 miles Outer Banks - 45 miles Edenton- 30 miles Lake Mattamuskeet -40 miles

Betty’s Bungalow

Betty’s Bungalow Is located 4 miles south of Columbia on Levels Road. You can enjoy walking around the farm, the quiet Levels community, or along the boardwalk in the picturesque town of Columbia. There is ample parking for boats and horse trailers. Pasture board is available for the equestrian enthusiasts for a nominal fee. When out and about, be sure to visit the Columbia Museum and the visitor center and learn about the history of Columbia.

Straight Up Salty

Bring your family to stunning, spacious home located on the Albemarle Sound. Off the beaten path for peace and quiet, but just 45 minutes away from the gorgeous beaches of the Outer Banks. Every aspect of this home you will enjoy, sit in the library, read a book, take a nap. The den has tv and beautiful views of the sound. Fishing off the dock or swimming. Prepare yourself for the most glorious of sunsets, set your sights on Straight Up Salty.

Trestle House

The Trestle House is named after the railroad trestles that serve as the beams in the ceilings of the first floor and basement. The stone fireplaces and original wooden floors all combine to give the house its beautiful, unique character. The wraparound deck gives magnificent views of the pond and yard, often with the wildlife that share the home with guests. There is plenty of room for everyone, with five bedrooms, each with their own bath.

Back to Nature at the Lunker Lodge

Newly renovated fishing lodge located on a small private RV Park with water access to Deep Creek and the Little River in Hertford NC. Fully appointed Kitchen, Stone Firelplace, 3 Bedrooms with new Queen size Nectar foam mattresses (2 rooms also have full size pull out sofa beds). Sleeping arrangements ideal for 6 adults and 4 children. Smart TV's and Direct TV available in Living Room and each bedroom. WiFi access included.

Columbia Soundside Cottage

New for 2026! Bring your furry family member with you! Sitting on the shores of the Albemarle Sound, this family-friendly home features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, game room, and access to a small community beach. Includes full kitchen, dishes, pots & pans, washer & dryer. Boasting a large deck overlooking the Albemarle Sound, sunrises don’t get any prettier than those you’ll see from the back deck.
