On the main square opposite the church, and with lovely countryside views across the pretty river Clain and its medieval bridge, the house combines a sense of history with modern convenience and plenty of space. Perfect for families or groups of friends, there's plenty to do just staying in, but it is also a great base for exploring the beautiful Vienne and Charente.

There are historic towns to explore nearby, and the river Vienne is a short walk through the village.

The only noise here comes from the birds, wildlife & the sheep in the surrounding fields. Owner lives on site in adjacent farm house. Many local bars & excellent restaurants.

Adorable stone house in historic village.

This idyllic French stone house can sleep up to five people. It has two bedrooms, a large living room with a woodburner, a fitted kitchen with a large dining table and two shower rooms, one on each floor. The rear bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the garden with a ruined abbey and the Charentaise countryside beyond. Outside there's a summer kitchen, a small terrace and a lawned garden. The village has a delightful cake shop, a popular restaurant, artisanal stores and a museum.

Our large, spacious holiday home, called Maison de La Chasse, can be booked for 6 people or less using just the 3 upstairs bedrooms. Guests still have access to all the fabulous living accommodation and the outside space, including the heated swimming pool. The house is part of a large domaine where the owners have a second gite, plus the owners house. The Villa is set apart from the other houses in it’s own fenced garden overlooking the pastures where the owners keep their horses
