Paradise awaits, our cozy, coastal self-contained cottage is ideally located, in a central, quiet and peaceful area and handy to the beach. Overlooking the Lake, it is perfect for a weekend getaway or longer to explore the Coromandel. A short stroll, Cooks is a beautiful sandy beach, very safe for swimming with many other stunning beaches nearby. Cooks Beach is made famous because Captain James Cook sailed on the HMS Endeavour into Mercury Bay in 1769 and anchored at Cooks Beach off Purangi.

Great places for safe swimming & watersports. 15 min drive to Hot Water Beach, Cathedral Cove & Hahei. There are 4 cabins. Freezer, washing machine, bbq, 4 Kayaks & 2 bikes for use. Larger groups up to 12 welcome by arrangement. Sheets/towels can be hired with advance notice. Toilet/shower are accessed from outside. Suits hardy travellers in winter- please view photos.

The house is naturally sheltered from the predominant westerly wind meaning you can make the most of the outdoor space. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away and the stream provides safe swimming areas for children.

Located at the Purangi river end of beautiful Cooks Beach our refurbished unit is ideally located for rest and relaxation. Or if you prefer a more active break we provide a double kayak, (including life jackets) and paddle boards, and can suggest beautiful areas for walking. The property backs onto a reserve with space for parking so please enquire if you would like to bring your boat. Safe swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding are within view and only a 2 minute walk away.

观景台

The Lookout is a stand alone guest cabin located on an elevated private 10 acre property just 5 minutes drive to Cooks Beach. Situated next to regenerating bush, it offers views through to Mercury Bay Winery, the Purangi Estuary & beyond to Mercury Bay itself. Entirely self contained, The Lookout is lined with warm natural timbers and has a comfortable queen size bed. It also has a private deck area perfect for morning coffees, BBQs, stargazing and bird watching.

ADMIRAL WATERS - Waterfront accommodation is situated on the Purangi Estuary at Cooks Beach. They are nestled amongst new homes in a new subdivision overlooking the boat ramp on the Purangi Estuary and a few minutes walk from the main Cooks Beach and a short drive to famous Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach.

Situated on the crest of the Coromandel ranges on the 309 road. Mahakirau Forest Estate comprises almost 600 ha of native forest. Each site is convenated by QEII National Trust who describe Mahakirau "outstanding for it's ecology and wildlife value with brown kiwi, kaka, Hochsetetter's and Archey's frogs all present". A spacious house in a bush setting, sit back and relax, take a bush walk down to the stream on the property and star gaze at night.

We are situated in a peaceful garden setting down a private drive. We are close to the ferry to Whitianga where there are beautiful restaurants, shopping and the Lost Spring. You can walk across the road to Lonely Bay and Shakespeare Cliff. Or you can do a 15 minute drive to Cathedral Cove and the famous Hot Water Beach. Local restaurant within walking distance (Eggsentric) or you can go into Cooks Beach where we have The Vessel or Go Vinos.
