Peaceful Cabin in the Heart of North Country

Our beautiful cabin sits in Clarksville on 6 private acres, close to major ATV and snowmobile trails, as well as the Hurlburt Nature Conservancy Area. We are minutes from Lake Francis and the Connecticut Lakes in NH's northernmost town, Pittsburg. While by no means primitive, our cabin is simple and rustic, and...in the woods. You may be visited by rabbits and coyote, or even a moose or deer grazing early in the morning. You may have the occasional cobweb, fly, swollen door, or sticky evening.

We provide a dock, 2 kayaks and 1 canoe shared with our Dockside cabin guests. 1st, 2nd, 3rd CT & Lake Francis are minutes away.

Escape and experience off grid camping with no electricity, phone. (ATT cell phone users usually have great reception) , or internet in a very beautiful but easily accessible old style family cabin on Big Averill lake. Running water and showers if spring water is available. The water is shut off mid October for the winter but local water pump source .7 mile away all year. Camp Ursus rustic and peaceful

One room cabin with all the necessities. At initial entrance, you are in the screened in porch. This offers your firewood close to carry, many cozy chairs to lounge, and a get away from the summer bugs. Camp door is locked with a coded lock. Upon entry of camp you will be met with a welcoming home like feel. The only thing you will need are drinking water and sleeping bags. Bunks are fitted with clean linens. Come! Come enjoy camp living!
