Rustic Alaskan Log Cabin

Stay in this peaceful rustic Alaska cabin located between Glennallen and Valdez Alaska just off of the Richardson Hwy. Hidden away by itself in a grove of spruce and cottonwood trees, you will experience a hint of being alone in the Alaska wilderness while at the same time you will have some modern conveniences such as easy access to the highway, electricity, water spigot (summer) and WIFI. Located within short walking distance of the Tonsina River, Squirrel Creek, and Squirrel Creek Lake.

Nine-Mile Nugget

Located between Valdez and Thompson pass, this little "mini" offers everything you need to be comfortable on your stay. A short 13 mile drive from Valdez will have you nestled in the woods where you will enjoy peace and serenity. Newly renovated Studio-Style BnB offers a private bathroom, and a "mostly" full kitchen. (There is no range/oven, but there is a toaster, Air-Fryer, microwave, and hot-plate for all your cooking needs!) This unit is upstairs with about 12 steps to the top.

The kitchen was made for entertaining with a 6 burner gas stove and huge log table that easily fits 8. Hike, fish, ski, paddle or soak right outside your door. It is located 30 min. from Tok on a paved road, and is on your way from Anchorage. This includes only the main house. Cabins are in a separate listing.

Located on our family homestead circa 1963, this is Grammie's home with some mobility aids available. Centrally located in the Copper River Country, this is a great base to explore the region or take day trips to Valdez, McCarthy, or Nabesna. The region is beautiful and full of history and culture. Our unique log cabin offers comfortable bedrooms and plenty of living space for a group of 4. Close to the road, yet out of sight in it's own quiet wood, it is also ideally located 2 minutes away from a convenience store/gas station/laundromat. This is a perfect location for a several day home base to explore the Copper Basin, Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Valdez. With a fully equipped kitchen, a kid corner and good reads, you will feel right at home.

Pappy Cal and Grandma Mary came north and built their homestead on this very land while mining, raising kids, running a general store, cabins, and a campground. We hope to continue their legacy of hard work and hospitality!
